BoomCase suitcase stereo systems

BoomCase produces very cool and custom made suitcase stereo systems. Remember back in the days when it was very cool to run around with a ghetto blaster on your shoulder?! Well, the BoomCase doesn’t only look great but it also last up to nine hours. The man behind these great objects, Mr Simo, calls himself „an audio-nut“, preferring wood or leather rather than plastics. Via a headphone plug you can connect the self powered and portable BoomCase to your iPod/iPhone or other device. You can pimp your BoomCase with Ipod/USB Charger, Extra Batteries, TV Screens, Custom Paint, Solar chargers and more. Prices start at $375.

Family business

Early practice makes perfect – The three sons of Lucas Maassen, a Dutch interior designer, are probably the youngest spirit in the field. The job of Thijme (9), Julian (7) and Maris (7) is to paint the hand-made furniture. And as signed in a contract, they get paid 1 Euro for each piece and are only allowed to work 3 hours a week due to Dutch child labour laws.

Mini printer for digital bookmarks and reminders

This cute little mini printer produces small notes in a seize of a receipt. Have fun printing a sudoku quiz, a thank you note, a shopping list or your to-do list. Once connected with the web you will find different ‘publications’ such as The Guardian or Foursquare on your smartphone. The producer, Design studio Berg, has announced to launch it later in 2012 as ‘beta’-product.
